Workshop on Developing City-Level Energy Concepts: Lessons-Learned from Germany and Pilot Applications in China was held in Beijing on July 25, 2017.
The meeting focused on issues of developing city-level energy policy plan and approaches in Germany, analysis on the energy policy in pilot cities of China, utilizing the clean energy to motivate China¡¯s green urbanization, joint researches on clean energy in China, cooperation on CCICED Phase VI¡¯s Green Urbanization and Green Energy researches.
Participants presented understanding and experiences on aforesaid issues by sharing their researches, commenting that there is a big demand on promoting the energy development mode in China cities. It is urgent to explore a comprehensive way to utilize the modes of distributed energy supply and long-distance power lines during China¡¯s green urbanization. China and Germany have already launched various studies in a number of areas, for instance, Modern Power Grid Project, and Long Distance Power Lines. It is necessary to draw on Germany¡¯s experiences to promote the development of China¡¯s clean energy and the governance system.
Mr. Li Junfeng, Chairman of the Academic Committee in Energy Research Institute, NDRC, and Mr. Gerhard Stryi-Hipp, physicist, Group leader of Research Group Smart Cities in Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy and Energy System Technology and other experts attended the meeting.
